Leveraging Emotional Awareness for Effectiveness in the Workplace

No matter what your organization focuses on, whether you are a professional in a suit or a professional athlete, the ultimate desired outcome is high performance. The centerpiece of high performance is good decision-making.  To succeed consistently, one must possess a high level of “Emotional Intelligence” which is the process of recognizing, managing, and appropriately leveraging emotions within yourself and with others.

Preceding day-to-day behaviors is “cognition”, part of which is our IQ.  It is how you think that determines how you  behave, which in turn determines whether you perform at a high level. Emotions, in turn, precede cognition and behavior, as our first reaction to a stimulus is an emotional one.

Our emotions are the source and foundation of everything else. Neuropsychiatrists, through virtual reality and body mapping, have shown that the initial reaction to a stimulus is not the firing of brain cells but that of “endorphins” being released, and as a result, emotions.

The TriMetrix® EQ Coaching Report was designed to increase the understanding of an individual's talents.  The report provides insight to three distinct areas: Behaviors, Motivators and Emotional Intelligence.  Understanding strengths and weaknesses in each of the three areas will lead to personal and professional development and a higher level of job satisfaction.

The TTI Emotional Quotient report is an in-depth look at an individual’s personal talents in five main sections:

This section of the report provides information on the “How” of a person’s actions and is designed to help attain a greater knowledge of one’s self as well as others.  The ability to interact effectively with people may be the difference between success and failure in your work and personal life.  Effective interaction with others starts with an accurate perception of one’s self.

This section of the report provides information on the “Why” of a person’s actions, which with application and coaching, can tremendously impact y their valuing of life.  Once one knows the motivations that drive their actions, they will immediately be able to understand the causes of conflict with themselves and others.

Integrating Behaviors and Motivators

This section of the report blends the “How” and the “Why” of a person’s actions.  Once an individual understands how their behaviors and motivators blend together, performance will be enhanced and they will experience an increase in personal and job satisfaction.

Emotional Intelligence

This section of the report provides information on a person’s “Emotional Intelligence”, which with application and coaching can impact the way they respond to emotionally charged situations.  In turn it will increase their performance and decision making process.

Blending Behaviors, Motivators and EQ

This section illustrates the impact “Emotional Intelligence” has on a person’s core behavioral style as well as their top two personal motivators.
